Peptides labeled with biotin or fluorescein are used extensively in
immunoassay, immunocytochemistry, and immunodetection. Our custom peptide
synthesis group can help you design your labeled peptides. Depending
on your application, the labeling can be done on the C- or N-terminus.
An extended arm or spacer such as 6-aminohexanoic acid (LC) can be used
to increase the distance between the labeling group and the peptide
in order to preserve the immunoactivity of the peptide. We also synthesize
peptides labeled with heavy isotopes, C13 and N15, which are commonly
used for NMR studies.
