Phosphopeptides are important for investigating the influence of phosphorylation
on the structures of peptides and proteins and in understanding the
regulatory process mediated by protein kinases. Utilizing our optimized
Fmoc and Boc methodologies, we have successfully synthesized numerous
serine-, threonine-, and tyrosine-phosphopeptides. For peptides containing
one or more of these hydroxy amino acids, selective phosphorylation
can be achieved by orthogonal protection strategy or by using Fmoc-protected
phosphorylated amino acids produced in-house.
