1-Pyrenesulfonyl chloride is an UV excitable amino-reactive fluorophore that is widely used to develop ratiometric fluorescent membrane probes. In general, pyrene fluorophores have concentration-dependent fluorescence due to the formation of excimer. The excimer has long fluorescence lifetime.
