AnaRed™-derived caspase substrates are the fluorogenic protease substrates that probably have the longest excitation and emission wavelengths. This characteristic makes AnaRed™ protease substrates most suitable for cell-based protease assays. Upon protease cleavage, AnaRed™ substrates generate the fluorescent product that has excitation maximum at 595 nm and emission maximum at 635 nm.
