| Description |
This acetylated peptide is an amino-terminus fragment of Annexin 1 (ANXA1). ANXA1, previously referred to as lipocortin 1 or LC1, is a member of the annexin superfamily that has a potent leukocyte antimigratory activity. This fragment, as well as the full-length ANXA1 may significantly reduce polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) influx in mice. ANXA1 and ANXA1 mimetics, such as Ac (2-12), inhibit recruitment of neutrophils in acute and chronic inflammation. This peptide is able to inhibit neutrophil extravasation. |
