This synthetic thrombin receptor agonist peptide corresponds to amino acids 42 to 55 of the human thrombin receptor and fully reproduces the action of thrombin on MMPs in vascular endothelial cells. This peptide (TRP-14) may signal a variety of thrombin’s responses and has been shown to cause platelet aggregation that can evoke a wide range of G-protein dependent responses.
