The native peptide, GPHRSTPESRAAV (345-357) in human; (221-233) or (351-363) in mouse is a part of the hydrophilic loop domain of presenilin 1 that is selectively recognized by GSK-3β. This sequence is not recognized by p38α, p38β, PKC, or CK II.
