This 11mer peptide myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein ( pMOG) ( 44–54) represents the core binding epitope for MOG-specific CD8+ T cells. This is the is the minimal, functionally constant, length of the MOG (35–55) peptide that binds to CD8+ MOG-specific T cells and stimulates T cell proliferation in vitro.
