This is a fragment of nonstructural protein 2 (NS2) residues 114 to 121 of murine H-2 Db- and Kb-restricted immunogenic CTL epitope of influenza PR8 virus. Antigen-specific recognition of peptides bound to major histocompatibility complex class I molecules is mediated by CD8+ T lymphocytes. CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses play a central role in protective immunity against viral and intracellular bacterial infections.
