This is amino acids 641 to 654 fragment of collagenous protein precursor, a component of senile plaque amyloid, designated as CLAC-P (collagenous Alzheimer amyloid plaque component)-precursor. It is a putative extracellular portion of CLAC-P/ColXXV. Immunoblotting of formic acid extracts of Alzheimers desease cortices with anti-NC4 showed the major positive band migrating at 70 kDa.
