Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated zinc endopeptidases involved in both normal and diseased tissue remodeling. MMP-10 (stromelysin 2) cleaves extracellular matrix proteins, but is unable to cleave the triple-helical fibrillar collagens. This enzyme is involved in several pathological conditions, such as cancer, arthritis and wound healing. The SensoLyte® MMP-10 ELISA Kit is an immunoassay for the quantification of total human MMP-10 (pro and active forms) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and urine. The assays are performed in a convenient 96-well microplate format. Kit contains 96-well coated plate, recombinant human MMP-10 standard, detection antibody, diluents, color reagent, HRP conjugated streptavidin, stop solution, plate cover and a user protocol.
