Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated zinc endopeptidases involved in both normal and diseased tissue remodeling. MMP-3 (stromelysin-1, transin-1) has been shown to be involved in tumor metastasis and rheumatoid arthritis and is proposed as a therapeutic target for these diseases. The SensoLyte® MMP-3 ELISA Kit is an immunoassay for the quantification of total human MMP-3 (pro and active forms) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and urine. The assays are performed in a convenient 96-well microplate format. Kit contains 96-well coated plate, recombinant human MMP-3 standard, detection antibody, diluents, color reagent, HRP conjugated streptavidin, stop solution, plate cover and a user protocol.
