Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated zinc endopeptidases involved in both normal and diseased tissue remodeling. The importance of MMPs in tumor development and invasion as well as other diseases is well known. The SensoLyte® MMP-8 ELISA Kit is an immunoassay for the quantification of total human MMP-8 (pro and active forms) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and urine. The assays are performed in a convenient 96-well microplate format. Kit contains 96-well coated plate, recombinant human MMP-8 standard, detection antibody, diluents, color reagent, HRP conjugated streptavidin, stop solution, plate cover and a user protocol.
