This is amino acids 91 to 110 fragment of the myelin basic protein (MBP). MBP plays an important role in multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the CNS. MS is characterized by immune reactivity against various myelin proteins, including myelin basic protein.
