Soymetide-4 (MITL) is a bioactive peptide, the minimal sequence required for phagocytosis stimulation. Soymetide is isolated from trypsin digests of soy protein. Met at N terminus of the soymetide is essential for the activity. Soymetide-4 promotes tumor necrosis factor A production at a higher level than soymetide-13 following oral administration in mice.
