This C-terminal biotinylated Aß(4-16) contains a 6-carbon long chain (LC) to provide more accesibility for strept/avidin attachment. The biotin-LC is conjugated to the side chain of the additional C-terminal lysine. This peptide fragment has been used in studying the effect of N-terminal deletions on the Cu²⁺ binding site in beta-amyloid.
