This peptide (Boc-LRR-AMC) is a fluorogenic allosteric inhibitor of Caspase-like sites, and is therefore capable of preventing chymotrypsin-like activity. The activation of Caspase-like sites normally stimulates trypsin-like activity of the proteasome.
