PepMEK2 is a MAP Kinase ERK2 (Extracellular Signal-regulated Kinase 2) substrate docking peptide derived from amino acids 1 to 16 of MAP/ERK kinase-2 (MEK2). This peptide makes up a D motif, also known as a DEJL motif, D domain, or kinase interaction motif. The PepMEK2 sequence is located remotely from the active site of the substrate or processing enzyme and causes conformational changes in ERK2 that make phosphorylation sites more available.
