This peptide is histone H3 (1-21) with asymmetrical dimethylation at Arg2 and phosphorylation at Thr3, followed by a C-terminal GGK with biotinylation on the side chain of Lys. Asymmetrical dimethylation at Arg2 inhibits Lys 4 methylation and is associated with silenced chromatin. Phosphorylation of Thr3 begins in mitotic prophase and reverses in anaphase. This process is carried out by haspin in vitro. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
