This peptide is histone H3 (1-21) with symmetrical dimethylation at Arg2 and phosphorylation at Thr3, followed by a C-terminal GGK with biotinylation on the side chain of Lys. Dimethylation of the guanidinium group of Arg2 is associated with transcriptional silencing. Phosphorylation of Thr3 begins in mitotic prophase and reverses in anaphase. This process is carried out by haspin in vitro. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
