This peptide is histone H3 (1-21) with deimination at Arg2 and phosphorylation at Thr3 followed by a C-terminal GGK linker with biotinylation on the side chain of this Lys. Arg2 is deiminated by peptidyl arginine deiminase 4 (PADI4). Conversion to citrulline (Cit) blocks methylation at this site and inhibits transcriptional activation. Phosphorylation of Thr3 begins in mitotic prophase and reverses in anaphase. This process is carried out by haspin in vitro. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
