This peptide is histone H4 (1-25) with acetylation at Lys8. It is biotinylated through a C-terminal GSGSK linker. Acetylation at Lys8 is crucial to the recruitment of the SWI/SNF (switch/sucrose non-fermenting) chromatin-remodeling complex through the bromodomain-containing protein BRG1 for transcriptional activation. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
