This peptide is derived from amino acid residues 1-21 of Histone H4 and is acetylated at the N-terminus and Lys16. It is biotinylated and contains additional WGK residues at its C-terminus. Acetylation of Histone H4 causes structural changes that play a crucial role in amplifying the binding of transcription factors to specific recognition sites within the nucleosome. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
