This peptide is a tandem repeat dimer of apolipoprotein E (161-169). ApoE is important in the brain’s response to acute damage and plays a role in neuronal regeneration, neurite outgrowth, and synapse formation. ApoE has also been associated with b-amyloid deposits in brains of Alzheimer’s patients. This peptide can be used to study the signaling pathways stimulated by ApoE.
