Species Reactivity: This antibody will recognize glycosylated Tau in human, monkey, mouse, rat, and other mammalian species. Antibody specificity was confirmed by Western and dot blots. This antibody will not recognize non-glycosylated Tau.

Product Description: Rabbit polyclonal Anti-Tau Antibody (GlcNAc Ser400) is supplied as an epitope affinity purified rabbit IgG, 50 µg in 250 µl (0.2 mg/µl) of Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) containing 0.05% Sodium Azide.
Immunogen: Rabbit polyclonal Anti-Tau Antibody (Ser400) was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the surrounding of Tau Ser400 residue and glycosylated at Serine400 residue with N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (GlcNAc).
Application Notes: The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points. Optimal working concentrations for specific application should be determined by the investigator.
WB: 1 μg/ml IHC (recommended but not tested): 1-2 μg/ml
RELATED PRODUCT: An antibody raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the surrounding amino acids of Tau Ser400 residue (without modifications) is available. Figure 1. Recombinant Tau (2N4R) and rat brain lysate were probed with Anti-Tau (GlcNAc Ser 400) antibody at 1 µg/ml final concentration. Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HiLyte Fluor™ 750 labeled antibody (Cat# 61056-05-H750 or 61056-1-H750) was used to visualize fluorescent band in the near-infrared. Multiple immunoreactive bands were detected for rat brain lysate and no band was detected for recombinant Tau (as expected).

This antibody does not react with “naked” Tau peptide.
