Phosphatases play a key role in cell signal transduction,
differentiation, and proliferation, with alkaline phosphatase catalyzing the
dephosphorylation of biomolecules in an alkaline environment. Alkaline phosphatase
is present in all human tissues, particularly in the liver, bile duct, kidney,
bone, and placenta. The level and activity of alkaline phosphatase correlate
with many physiological and pathological events, such as bone development and
bone-related disease,1,2 renal disease,3 pregnancy, and
drug intoxication.4 Alkaline phosphatase is widely used as a reporter
for gene expression and for ELISA.
AnaSpec is proud to introduce the industry’s most sensitive
method for detection of alkaline phosphatase activities. The SensoLyte™
Luminescent Alkaline Phosphatase and SensoLyte™ Luminescent
Alkaline Phosphatase ELISA assay kits contain a chemiluminescent substrate capable
of detecting enzyme activities in solutions and in biological samples at femtogram
level. The luminescent substrate supplied in the kits provides high signal,
low background, wide dynamic range, rapid results and good reproducibility.
The kits provide ample reagents to perform 500 assays in a 96-well plate format.
