This is an acetylated tetrapeptide aldehyde (caspase 3) inhibitor peptide. It is observed to cause complete inhibition when apopain protease is set to cleave PARP. Ac-DEVD-CHO at a concentration of 120 M was found to inhibit Fas-induced apoptosis in Jurkat T cells.
