An excellent fluorogenic substrate for MMP-7 having Km and kcat values of 26 mM and 5.0 s-1, respectively. (kcat/Km = 1.9 x 105 M-1 s-1). The enzyme catalyzed cleavage occurs at the Ala-Leu bond. Abs/Em = 280/360 nm.
