This is a membrane-translocating peptide sequence derived from antennapedia (PTD) conjugated with p65-P1. It suppresses NF-kB activation induced by lipopolysaccharide, interleukin-1, okadaic acid, phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate, and H2O2. This peptide may play a role in sensitizing cells to apoptosis induced by TNF, doxorubicin, and cisplatin. p65-P1 contains a single phosphorylation site, and it is needed to inhibit NF-B activity.
