This is amino acids 91 to 108 fragment of the rat myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG). Rats immunized with this peptide induce severe experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a model for multiple sclerosis (MS), and also demyelinating lesions. This peptide also proved to be a linear B cell determinant.
