HiLyte Fluor™ 680 acid, SE is an excellent amine-reactive fluorescent labeling dye that can be used to generate protein conjugates which are only slightly red-shifted compared to those of Cy™ 5.5 dyes. Filters designed for Cy™5.5 dyes can also be used for the HiLyte Fluor™ 680 – protein conjugates. Excitation and emission wavelengths are at 678/699 nm when conjugated to macromolecules. These conjugates are suitable for immunofluorescent staining, in situ hybridization, flow cytometry and other biological applications.
The AnaTag™ HiLyte Fluor™ 680 Microscale Protein Labeling Kit has all the essential components for performing the conjugation reaction and for purifying the HiLyte Fluor™ 680-protein conjugate. The entire process can take as short as half an hour. Ample materials are provided for three conjugation reactions with each reaction labeling up to 200 µg IgG.
