This 25 amino acids peptide is derived from the Type III connecting segment of fibronectin. CS1 variant of Fibronectin (FN) is a competitive inhibitor of Very Late Antigen-4 (VLA-4) binding to Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 (VCAM-1).
