This is EG3287, a peptide fragment based on the Neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A) binding site, located on exons 7 and 8. EG3287 is a NRP-1 antagonist and contains an C-terminal Arg essential for inhibition of VEGF165 binding. As a result, EG3287 decreases tumor angiogenesis and growth.
