This peptide is histone H4 (1-21), acetylated at lysine 5, 8, 12, and 16. It contains a C-terminal GG linker, followed by a biotinylated Lys. In general, histone H4 acetylation is associated with increased DNA replication during mitosis, although different combinations of acetylation at specific sites are selective for specific processes.
