Alternative choices
Caspase-1 substrate; AFC (7-amino-4-trifluoromethylcoumarin)-derived caspase substrates are widely used for the fluorimetric detection of various caspase activities. Cleavage of AFC peptides by caspases generate strongly fluorescent AFC that is monitored fluorimetrically at 500-510 nm with excitation of 370-390 nm.
