As a Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities, which is key to our mission of assisting scientists and researchers around the world in their quest to make a difference in disease research and drug discovery. Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain good written documentation of experiments.
- Peptide washing, reaction vessel washing and peptide weighing.
- Back up to hazardous waste removal.
- Assist in loading of solvents.
- Follows protocols, designs, sets-up and conducts basic experiments.
- Oversee fraction checking and lyophilization of projects.
- Ensure implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of QMS through SOP documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a laboratory environment.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly, push and pull up to 400 lbs.
- Prepare raw material, reagents, solvents, solution for production chemists.
- Focus on maintaining and calibrating lab equipment, or on taking specific measurements from numerous samples of substances.
- Maintain equipment by picking up, cleaning, washing, and distributing as needed.
- Keep lab supplies ready by inventorying stock.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety tasks.
- Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Assist in projects as deemed necessary.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with working with multi-national companies is a plus.
- Must have great communication skills.
- Team player and self-motivated
Hourly Rate $24-$25 per hour
