All the HCl salt forms of A (1-40), A (25-35) and D-Ser26 A (25-35), take the -structure within a few hours in PBS. They form fibrils, exert toxic effects on hippocampal cultured neurons and suppress MTT reduction activity of non-neuronal (HeLa) cells without cytotoxicity.
