This is a thrombin receptor-derived peptide that corresponds to the N-terminal heptapeptide of tethered ligand. It is known to activate thrombin receptor and to stimulate phosphoinositide turnover. The phenylalanine residue at position 2 is known to play a crucial role in activation of the thrombin receptor.
