TR-FRET for Life Science
Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (TR-FRET) involves an energy transfer between two fluorophores in close proximity. It combines time Resolved Fluorescence (TRF) and Forster's Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) technologies thereby offering advantages of reducing background
noise and providing higher sensitivities and reliability than FRET. TR (time-resolved) based assay technologies, as offered with our TR-FRET assay formats eliminate samples' background fluorescence by choosing a longer detection interval after excitation, thereby causing increased assay sensitivity.
