This is a scrambled sequence of the gamma-fibrinogen amino acids 377 to 395. The original fibrinogen-derived inhibitory peptide attenuates microglia activation and suppresses relapsing paralysis in multiple sclerosis (MS). This scrambled peptide fails to produce these functions.
